International locations
"International location" is how the system refers to information which may vary according to the country, such as the date format, ZIP code and language.
Register international locations and define their data, adapting them to the local necessities. To apply the definitions of an international location to the system, it must be selected in the user preferences after registered.
What you can do:
Add an international location
- On senior X Platform, go to Access Control and Security Management > General registers > International locations;
- Click on Add and define a Name for the location;
- Select the Language, the Date format and the Time format. If the location is selected in the User preferences, the system will change to the corresponding language;
- In the Phone number mask field, define a mask that determines, character by character, how a telephone number must be composed in this location. This will also define the order in which the possible characters (digits, numbers etc.) must be typed as well as the number formatting, that is, the format in which it will be presented.
- In the ZIP code mask field, define which digit types shall be shown and in which order;
- Click on Save.
The following characters must be used to set the phone number and ZIP code mask, according to what they represent:
- Z - For letters from "A" to "Z", i.e., uppercase letters (including accented characters);
- z - For letters from "a" to "z", i.e., lowercase letters (including accented characters);
- # - For letters from "a" to "z" and "A" to "Z", i.e., uppercase and lowercase letters (including accented characters);
- 9 - For digits from "0" to "9";
- ? - To make the character immediately after the question mark optional;
- . - / ( ) - Separators.
The phone mask, for example, could be "(99) (99) 99999-9999".
When changing an existing mask, the registered phone numbers and ZIP codes which use this mask may appear in a different form or not appear at all, depending on the format of the new mask. A warning is shown whenever a change is made to the Phone number mask or ZIP code mask fields, to emphasize this possible impact.
