Card formats
Register the formats of RFID (Radio-Frequency IDentification) cards, used in the reader registration.
What you can do:
- on senior X Platform, go to Access and Security Management > Access control > Card format and clickTo add;
- In General Data, fill in the Description field with the card format name;
- In the Access code field, define the access code of this card format. If the code of a card is different from the one registered for the format, the access will be denied, even if the physical number of the card is the same;
- Fill in the Bits shift field with the quantity of bits to be shifted during the data validation;
- Then define the Number of Card Bits, which may vary depending on the manufacturer and model. In the case of the Apollo manufacturer, for example, this is the number of bits which are intended for the storage of the access code and card number information;
- In the Amount of Odd Parity Bits field, fill in with the quantity of bits that will be considered from the end of the bits, for the odd parity. And the Amount of Even Parity Bits field must be filled in with the quantity of bits that will be considered from the start of the bits, for the even parity. This consists in a validation of the data;
- Define the Amount of Access Code Bits, which may depending on the manufacturer and card model;
- Indicate the Access code start bit;
- Fill in the Amount of Card Number Bits, considering that the count begins at the card number start bit;
- Complete the Card number start bit field with the bit that indicates the initial position of card number reading;
- If the card format is considered Default For All Readers, check this checkbox. Up to eight formats may be set as default;
- Click on Save.
- Go to Access control > Card format;
- In Registered Card Formats, select the format you wish to edit;
- Click on Edit;
- After making the changes, click on Save.
To delete a card format, select the desired format and click on Delete.
Choose one oftemplates predefined to facilitate registration. The screen data can be changed after selecting one of the models.
- Go to Access control > Card format;
- In Registered Card Formats, click on Templates;
- In the Standard Template List, click on the desired template, then on Select and edit the fields as needed;
- Click on Save.
Note
Verify previously the communication specifications of the card which will be used before choosing a template. These information is important so that the communication between the readers and the user card occurs without errors, which may prevent the access.

Default values predefined for each template, selected via the Templates button beside the Add button:

The permissions must be configured at senior X Platform > Technology > Administration > Authorization > Role Management.
