Virtual lobby
View and receive people remotely through the Virtual lobby routine. With it, it is possible to use cameras to monitor the arrival of visitors, allow them access to the entrance, register their entries and grant them access credentials. All this without the need for someone physically present at the entrance, as the identification of people and the actions to be taken will all be carried out through this screen.
Prerequisites
To use the virtual Ordinance, carry out the following configurations and registrations in the Ronda senior X system:
- Monitoring cameras: use a server or image link for the monitoring cameras. If you choose a server, register it in Ronda Senior > Security Hub >CCTV Servers. If the camera will use an image link, skip this step;
- Devices: if the devices do not exist on the system, register them;
- Manufacturers Milestone and Digifort: configure theCCTV proxy, for manufacturers Milestone and Digifort;
- Camera registration: on the senior X Platform, go to Access and Security Management > Security Hub >Cameras and register the cameras to be monitored by the reception. If the cameras use servers, associate them with the register created in the monitoring cameras. Otherwise, provide the link of the image that will be monitored. While registering cameras, associate them with the devices that will be used at the entrance (physical locks, for example). This will allow the registered output devices to be activated remotely;
The option to capture the visitor's photo during the credential issuance can only be enabled when using cameras of the Digifort manufacturer. To do this, create a file named HTTPApiCustomHeaders without an extension. Within the created file, add this text: Access-Control-Allow-Origin:* and put the file in the folder where the Server.exe file is, in the Digifort manufacturer installation directory.
- Lobby regiostration: register the lobbies that will be monitored. Only administrator users can register. See the step by step below.
What you can do:
- On senior X Platform, go to Access Control and Security Management > Lobby management > Virtual lobbies and click on Add;
- Fill in the Name, the Physical location and, if desired, the Group of this lobby;
- Click on Active for the lobby to be enabled and displayed in the list of registered lobbies. When the lobby is no longer used, it may be disabled, but its history will be preserved;
- In the Access Control panel, you must obligatorily define what is the Origin physical location and the Destination physical location considered when accessing this Virtual lobby;
- The Lobby Information panel has a text field where information such as the address and the phone number, for example, can be registered;
- Click on Save;
- Then associate the desired cameras with this lobby. This will indicate, to the system, that these cameras (and the devices associated with them, as mentioned before) can be used in activations at the virtual lobby;
- In the Activations of This Lobby panel, click on Edit to add registered Actions, i.e., actions that can be done remotely in the Virtual Lobby screen. Many different actions may be registered, and each one of them can activate one or more output devices;
- Register the actions that may be done, defining a name in the Action field, such as Open Door, Release Turnstile. Activations can also be related to movements by using the Associate person movement option, which displays the Issue Credential, Register Entry or Register Exit screens upon use. For different actions, leave the field empty;
- Define Active or Inactive for such action (only active actions become available in the lobby in question);
- Select the output devices that will be activated. An action may activate one or more output devices, and the list shows the devices registered for the physical location selected for the lobby;
- In the Status field, select if the output device will be activated, deactivated or activated temporarily; in this case the activation time (in milliseconds) must be set;
- Click on Save.
Register as many actions as needed.
Important
The Virtual Ordinance routine only operates with devices registered on the senior X Platform.
Immediately after registering the concierge on the senior , such as readers and buttonholes.
- On senior X Platform, go to Access Control and Security Management > Lobby management > Virtual lobbies;
- In the Associated Devices panel, click on Add;
- In the Devices panel, click on Add device;
- In the Device field, select only readers and input devices that are of the "Access Controller" type;
- Define the Action requested to the device. Calls may cause actions of the following types: New credential, Entry registration and Leave registration;
- Then define when the device shall generate a call for the lobby. Notice that:
- For readers, the call may be "Always" generated or specifically "On granted accesses" and "On denied accesses" (or also be "Disabled").
- For switches, the call may be "Always" generated or be "Disabled";
- Click on Save.
The Virtual lobby may then be operated properly. It is important to note that to access the virtual lobby, the user must have permission to view lobbies.
Note
Although there is no limit to the registration of lobbies, the number of lobbies that may be enabled corresponds to the amount contracted with Senior. After that number is reached, any newly-registered lobby is automatically disabled. The administrator user is responsible for the management of active and inactive lobbies, for the better use of the resources according to the contracted amount.
