Commands for devices
Commands allow you to send and receive device information. To send commands to devices:
- On senior X Platform, go to Access Control and Security Management > Access Control > Devices > Devices;
- Find the desired device, select it and click on View;
- In the Send Command section, click on Send command;
- Choose the command you wish to send to the device and click on Send command. The command will be displayed on the screen along with its current status.
Commands:
- Device status: displays the operational status of the device;
- Configure date and time: updates the device date and time according to the date and time of the location where the device is, as defined in the time zone registration;
- Block device: blocks the device, preventing the passage of people. Must be sent when it is necessary to block the passage in the access and clocking event controllers;
- Unblock device: unblocks the device, allowing access;
- Activate emergency state: puts all devices in a state where doors, turnstiles and controllers don't make any verification to allow access. Must be sent during emergency situations (a fire, for example) where all passages must be released so that workers can leave;
- Deactivate emergency state: makes devices in the emergency state return to their usual operation, validating the access normally. Must be sent when the location is no longer in an emergency situation, and the access control has to operate normally;
- Load holiday list: loads, in the device memory, a list that contains the holidays from the current year, according to the lists of holidays from the timeslots which are controlled by the location where the device is located. Must be sent whenever a holiday register is added or modified;
- Remove holiday list: removes all holidays from the device memory;
- Configure device: sends all information registered in the system to the device: people data, location data etc.;
- Digital input status: shows the current state (triggered or not) of the input devices which are children of this device;
- Event collection: makes the device resend the events from a certain period to the system;
- Load liberation list: sends to the device a list with all the people who are allowed to perform an access on it;
- Load biometrics list: sends to the device a list with the biometrics of the people who are allowed to perform an access on it and whose template type matches the type associated with the device;
- Update firmware: updates the embedded software of the device.
