User integration with G Suite
The integration of G Suite users with the senior X Platform is done using the SAML protocol, which is an open protocol for authentication and authorization between two parties: theIdentity Provider and theService Provider. Since G Suite is theIdentity Provider and the platform is theService Provider.
- In the G Suite admin console, go to Apps > SAML Apps and choose the optionINSTALL MY OWN CUSTOMIZED APP;
- Copy field valuesSSO URL It isEntity Code. These values must be forwarded to Senior after completing the G Suite configuration. Then clickNext;
- In the app information, determine an app name, description, and logo. For example, the name senior X Platform and description, Senior X Platform Login. After that, clickNext;
- In Service Provider Details, enter:
- ACS URL: https://platform.senior.com.br:9443/commonauth. The URL may change depending on the environment that is installed;
- Identity code: senior-x
- name code :
- In the first name,Basic information;
- In the second,Name.
- click inNext;
- In Attribute Mapping add the mappings between the service provider attribute fields and user profiles:
- Username:
- Attribute:
- http://schemas.
- xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/username
- Name
- Email address:
- Username:
- After completing registration, activate the application for all users.
The senior X Platform does not support repeated names or users with accents in the name. In this case, when using the user's first name as an identifier, these two limitations may occur. Regardless of the authentication method chosen, do not use spaces in the user name to access the platform.As the first name is usually not unique to be used asusername, there are two alternatives:
- Adjust the user name: changing the users' first name so that there are no conflicts and no special characters, such as accents and spaces, can solve the problem. However, users may not have their correct names in the solution;
- Create a custom attribute (recommended): Create a custom attribute that will contain the username on the platform.
To do this, access the optionManage custom attributes on the users screen and add a new custom attribute with the category Senior X and name Username. The type must be “Text” and be visible to the administrator and have a unique value. All users must have the value of this attribute filled in accordingly.
Then, access the SAML application registered previously and inAttribute Mapping Change the http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/username attribute so that it uses the Senior X category and Username attribute.teIf there is a high number of users to be updated, Google APIs can be used to make this update.No
After configuring G Suite, forward the configured data to Senior, to proceed with the configuration of SAML authentication on the senior X Platform.
Due to the administration and evaluation of existing users in the database, it is recommended that changing the type of authentication is evaluated with specialized support from Senior.
