Clocking Event with QR/Bar Code
Clocking Event with QR Code or Barcode is a feature available in the Clocking Event 2.0 application | HCM. This feature aims to make clocking events easier, bypassing the need to enter a username or password.
First settings to release the QR Code in the app
With a user who has the appropriate permissions to carry out the settings , proceed as follows:
- Access the QR Code menu, access the Options tab, click on the Application Key button;
- Add the key and secret information for the application registered on the platform responsible for communicating with the seniorX cloud of QR Code information;
- Click the Integrate employees button to search for information from the QR Code or Barcode codes of the employees.
Clocking Event with QR/Bar Code in the app
After making the first settings, it is possible to start making the clocking events. To do so, please follow these steps:
- Access the Clocking Event 2.0 | HCM;
- Open the menu and access the QR Code screen;
- In the Reader subtab, click the Start Reading button;
- Read the code;
- At the end of the reading, check the booking receipt and close it;
- Click the Stop Reading button if you don't want to make more clocking events.
Generate and print codes for employees individually or collectively
It is possible to generate and print the codes individually or collectively.
- On seniorX platform, access the Settings screen through the menu: People Management > Clocking Event 2.0 > Employees > List of Employees;
- Once you find the employee you need, in Actions , click Change ;
- To generate the code, click Generate ;
Observation
When clicking on the Generate button, the system will display the message: If there are already identification information for the employee, they will be overwritten. Proceed? In this situation, there are some options:
- If you choose to proceed and the employee already has a generated code, the previous code will be overwritten and a new code will be generated;
- If the employee does not have a code, and you choose to proceed, a new code will be generated;
- If you choose not to proceed and the employee already had a generated code, the current code will not be overwritten;
- And if you choose not to proceed but the employee does not have a generated code, a new code will not be generated.
At the end of the generation process, you can print the code:
- Click the Print button;
- Access the platform notification in the bell ;
- On the Notifications screen, check the desired notification and access the report.
- On the seniorX platform, access the Employees screen through the menu: People Management > Clocking Event 2.0 > Employees > Employee List;
- Click the Actions button;
- Then click the Generate Identification Codes button.
Observation

Observation
In order to be able to print the Qr Code/Bar Code, it is necessary to have the report database generated on the platform, otherwise there will be a printing error.
To obtain a complete report with the QR Code or Bar Code of each employee:
- Under Employees List, click on the Actions button, then click on Print Identification Codes ;
- The system will issue the message: Wait a few seconds until the report is generated ;
- When the report is ready, the system will issue a notification that the report is ready;
- Access the platform notification in the bell ;
- On the Notifications screen, check the desired notification and access the report.
Observation
Each QR Code or Barcode is unique and generated for a specific Employee.
Search for employees by ID code
- On the seniorX platform, access the Employees screen through the menu: People Management > Clocking Event 2.0 > Employees;
- Under Filters , click + ;
- In the Identification code field, enter the desired employee code and click Filter to find the record.
Clocking Event with QR/Bar Code
- On the seniorX platform, access the Settings screen through the menu: People Management > Clocking Event 2.0 > Settings > General Tab;
- In the Capture photo QRCode mode field, enter Yes or No to define whether the employee's photo will be collected with the clocking event by reading the Bar Code or QR Code;
- Save the changes made.
Platform Permission
So the tags can be collected, an application key configuration on the device must be made. For this, the configuration will be done by the user who has permission to carry out this process:

The application that will be configured on the app needs the following permissions in the role in which it will be inserted:

Observation
In case you have generated the secret and the access key and have already configured it on the app and generate the key and the secret again, the apps will stop communicating. This happens because the apps work as a user, and the key and the secret are the ones that make the authentication communication of the application.

The main goal of making clocking events with QR Code is to schedule multiple employees without the need for their authentication. Therefore, the app needs a secure agent with the appropriate permissions to integrate information with the seniorX cloud. As there is no authenticated user, configuring an app capable of carrying out these communications is a must.

Due to the limitations of the app in terms of technology and framework, it is not possible to use this functionality on an iPhone.
