ADM0036 - ISO VG Class
The ISO VG classification International Standards Organization Viscosity Grade refers to the viscosity grade of a lubricating oil, allowing it to be identified/classified based on its viscosity at standard temperature. With this standardization, it is possible to correctly select which oil is recommended for specific machinery and/or application conditions.
When adding a record, filling in the information and saving it, the system will display a tab related to items, enabling the association (ISO VG Class x Item). This screen depends on the Item (ADM0034) page, and will only display items that have their Standard Group determined as Grease or Lubricant.
What can you do?
Initial Registration
The ISO VG class registration will be performed through this screen. To register a class, access - SimpleFarm > Administration Menu > Resources > ISO VG Class and then:
- Click on Add;
- Enter a Code;
- Enter a Description;
- Enter an Abbreviation;
- Click on Save.
- After saving the ISO VG Class record, the Items tab will be enabled. The association can be done in two ways:
- Directly through the Items tab of the ISO VG registration:
- Add;
- Select Item: only Oil/Lubricant type materials will be listed;
- Save.
- The association can also be done individually from the Item (ADM0034) registration itself, by filling in the ISO VG Class field.
