UTL0001 - Connection
The connection screen is used to register the data sources that will be used by the system. This registration is a prerequisite for using the data source screen and data source type variables.

How to register the database connection
- To register a new database connection, access SimpleFarm > Utilities Menu > Common > Connection (UTL0001).
- Start the registration by clicking the Add button, located at the bottom of the screen, and fill in the following fields:
- Code ;
- Connection Name;
- Host: database server address;
- Port: port number used for the connection;
- User and Password : credentials required for authentication;
- Select the Database type (e.g.: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server);
- Click Save to register the connection.
How to Test Database Connection
After filling in all fields, click the Test Connection button to ensure that the system can connect correctly to the database.
Important
The database connection is essential to ensure the proper functioning of charts and indicators. If any error occurs, verify that the credentials and database type are correctly configured.
