ADM0050 - Inventory Location
The Inventory location is an organizational or physical unit within a company (and its respective branches) intended for the storage and control of items. Its main function is to enable tracking, movement, and accurate inventory of materials.
In general, the main objectives of an inventory location are:
- Store products in an organized manner;
- Control the entry and exit of goods;
- Facilitate the execution of inventories and audits;
- Support production, sales, and logistics processes.
In the context of SimpleFarm, the information of Inventory Locations is directly linked to the movements performed in the system, encompassing several modules. Examples of this include logging agricultural inputs through Work Orders, as well as production logs, product entries and exits performed through the scale module.
Regardless of the module used, these movements are integrated into ERP systems, ensuring that information about Inventory Locations is correctly considered to execute the withdrawal or entry of products in the respective locations.
