UTL0102 - Panel Object

This screen is designed to configure Panel Objects in the Simple Viewer system, which are visual elements used to compose user dashboards. Objects can be charts, lists, displays, gauges, or cubes, and are created from previously configured data sources.

What can you do?

Initial registration to create the Panel Object

How to create panel object
  1. To create the panel object, access SimpleFarm > Utilities Menu > Common > Panel Object (UTL0102).
  2. To start the registration, click on the Add button, located in the lower corner of the screen.
  3. Choose the type of object you want to create (Chart, List, Display, Gauge or Cube);
  4. Associate the object with a previously registered data source;
  5. Configure the visual and functional fields according to the object type;
  6. Click on Save to register the object.
How to check object types
Alert Settings

The system allows you to configure alerts whenever a conditional formatting is met, both in charts and lists of panel objects.

Important

The frequency of this alert will be the one chosen in parâmetro (ADM0088), in the Viewer module grouping, defined as TimeSendAlert | Time interval to send alerts.

The alert will be sent to the email of the user chosen in the registration, if this sending has any problems, a high priority notification will be sent to this same user in Simpleviewer.

  • Charts

In the panel object registration/editing screen, when adding a conditional formatting, it is possible to include an alert:

  1. Define the Initial Value, Final Value and the formatting color;
  2. Click on Alert to select a user or group that should receive it;
  3. Confirm the inclusion by clicking on the + icon.
  • Lists

Lists also allow conditional formatting settings with alert:

  1. When adding a new conditional formatting to a column, a modal will be displayed to define the criteria;
  2. Among the parameterization options, select Alert;
  3. Complete the configuration by clicking the + icon;
  4. Whenever the condition is met in the data (e.g., “realized area greater than 10”), the system will send the alert to the configured user.
  • Panel

In the panel, the chart will highlight the configured range using the defined color. If any displayed value is within this range, the system will generate the corresponding alert.

Chart

Charts can be column, line, pie, area, or combined (two axes). To configure:

  1. Select the chart type;
  2. Associate the data source field to the X axis: mandatory field;
  3. Fill in the Category: the field is optional, if a field is selected for category it serves as a grouper for the x axis;
  4. Configure the maximum, minimum, and increment value fields for the Y axis: optional field and should only be filled in if it is necessary to set the y axis differently from what the system calculates automatically;
  5. Define whether values will be stacked or displayed side by side;
  6. Configure display sizes and units of measure.

Important

For the two-axis type object, we need to have created these two charts previously (one column and one line) and then associate these two in the two-axis type object.

List

The list is an object that displays tabular data from the associated data source. It is possible to configure columns, sorting, grouping, links, formatting, and detailed objects.

Column Settings

  1. Choose the data source fields that will be displayed;
  2. Use the Arrows symbol to add or remove columns;
  3. Use the Window symbol to change sorting or group columns;
  4. Drag fields to the display area as desired.
  1. Select the desired column;
  2. Internal or external type columns: a URL will be inserted when it is external type, when it is internal type the system screen path will be inserted;
  3. Insert the desired URL and click + to add;
  4. For links with parameters, insert in the URL the format [XXX], where XXX is the parameter name;
  5. Choose the data source field that will fill the parameter, or insert a fixed value.

Conditional Formatting

  1. Available for other field types, which may change the different comparisons we perform for a text type or a numeric type;
  2. Configure value ranges to change color, fill or cell/row style.

List Objects

  1. Access the List Objects tab;
  2. Add panel objects for line detailing;
  3. It is possible to add multiple objects, and define the display order;
  4. Configure the From/To between the list fields and the added objects.

Important

The list is customizable, and allows a rich visualization of data. Make sure to correctly configure the fields and links, to ensure usability

Display

The Display type object is used to show the totalization of a field from the data source. It can be filtered by variables or fixed values.

How to Configure:

  1. Select the data source field that will be totalized;
  2. Use the Expression Value field to apply formulas, if necessary;
  3. Configure the desired filters to refine the displayed data.

Important

The display is ideal for highlighting simple and direct metrics, such as totals, averages or counts.

Cube

The Cube object is an advanced tool that allows creating dynamic visualizations such as tables and charts, from a data source.

Steps to Configure:

  1. Create a cube and associate a data source;
  2. Configure the available fields for the cube (filters, columns, rows, values);
  3. Create custom layouts with dynamic tables and charts;
  4. Add calculated fields directly in the cube, using aggregations and operations;
  5. Apply conditional formatting to value fields;
  6. Create the Cube type panel object, and add it to the panel.

Important

It is important to note that the Cube is an additional license. Therefore, if not contracted, this functionality will not be available.The cube offers great analytical flexibility, being ideal for users who need to explore data in depth.

How to check the panel object filter

On the Filters tab, it is possible to define whether each filter will be mandatory or optional. When clicking on a filter, a window will open with the option to mark it as mandatory. If marked, the filter must be filled in for the dashboard to work correctly, and this configuration will be visible in the filter list itself. In addition, there is the possibility of using fixed filters and dynamic filters, with dynamic filters being configured through variables, accessed on the Variable screen, in common.
