Service Order: Pre-Planting Preparation Type
Soil preparation is one of the first activities to be carried out in the agricultural process to ensure proper crop development and thus guarantee a harvest with high productivity.
Soil preparation occurs so that the physical and chemical conditions of the environment are balanced to receive the crop, adapting to ideal conditions of moisture, oxygenation, nutrients, density, pH, among others.
Thus, in a practical way, the Service Order of Type Preparation is the first Service Order to be directed to an area (Preparation > Planting > Replanting (if necessary) > Cultural Treatments > Harvest). And, following this context, it aims to formalize all the resources consumed/directed during the soil preparation of an area to receive the crop.
For it to be possible to open a service order of type Preparation, as this activity occurs before having a crop installed in the area, it is necessary that the location to be inserted in the service order has the Status of Reserved for crop.

What can you do?
Open the Service Order of Planting Type
- Access the menu Agricultural > Service Order > Service Order Graphic Panel (AGR0090);
- To open the Service Order, you need to fill in the fields:
- Location Type: mandatory field. Retrieves the values Agricultural, Others and Water Resources, and aims to direct to which type of location the services as a whole will be performed;
- Agricultural: represents the productive locations registered within the system. When choosing this option, in the selection of Locations, the system will present the structure of productive agricultural locations, according to the parameterization performed on the page ADM0001 (Gerais) and registration of Locations performed on the page AGR0023 (Local);
- Others: represents the locations that are classified as Others within the system. When choosing this option, in the selection of Locations, the system will present the structure of Other Locations, according to the parameterization performed on the page ADM0001 (Gerais) and registration of Locations performed on the page AGR0023 (Local). The definition of Others in this field also causes the Crop field to be removed from the S.O. registration, given that in this type of Location there is no crop link;
- Water Resources;
- Production Unit: mandatory field. Retrieves the registrations of Unidade Produtora (ADM0012);
- Project: mandatory field. Retrieves the registrations of Projeto (AGR0013);
- Period: mandatory field. Retrieves the registrations of Safra (AGR0014);
- Code: field locked for editing. When saving the record, a unique and sequential code will be assigned to identify this Service Order;
- Opening : mandatory field. Represents the start date of the Service Order;
- Closing : field locked for editing. Represents the closing date of the Service Order. This field will be filled automatically when using the button Encerrar Ordem de Serviço mentioned in the Basic Information tab;
- Start Forecast : represents the forecast for starting work on the Service Order;
- End Forecast : represents the forecast for completion of work on the Service Order;
- Status : field locked for editing. Retrieves the values Registration in Progress , Awaiting Approval, Open, Canceled and Closed, and aims to inform the state in which the respective Service Order is;
- Registration in Progress : means that the Service Order is in a status before Open. In this status it is not possible to make any type of transaction with the Service Order (work logs, mechanization reports, integrations, etc.). The status Registration in Progress will be assigned only to Service Orders that entered the Approval Sequence flow;
- Awaiting Approval : means that the Service Order is in a status after Registration in Progress and before Open. In this status the Service Order will be completely locked for editing and will await the Approval, Rejection or Cancellation of a responsible person. The status Awaiting Approval will be assigned only to Service Orders that entered the Approval Sequence flow;
- Open : means that the Service Order is open and functional within the system. In this status it is possible to perform editing, addition and/or deletion of some fields;
- Canceled : means that the Service Order was discontinued. In this status the Service Order will be completely locked for editing, remaining in the system only for history and verification purposes;
- Closed : means that the Service Order was completed. In this status the Service Order will be completely locked for editing;
- Validate Third Party Contract : mandatory field. Retrieves the registrations of Tipo de Ordem de Serviço (AGR0046), and aims to classify the Service Order among the types Preparation, Planting, Replanting, Cultural Treatments or Harvest;
- S.O. Responsible: mandatory field. Retrieves the registrations of Funcionário (ADM0025). This field aims to identify, for the respective Service Order, who will be the person responsible for the activities performed;
- Team : mandatory field. Retrieves the registrations of Equipe (ADM0048). This field aims to identify, for the respective Service Order, which will be the team responsible for the activities performed;
- Crop : mandatory field. Retrieves the registrations of Crop (AGR0035). This field aims to identify which crop will be the target of the Preparation, Planting, Replanting, Cultural Treatments or Harvest activities that will be performed on the Service Order;
- Location Selection :mandatory field. This field retrieves a Árvore de Locais (AGR0023) so that the locations that will be manipulated in the respective Service Order are selected. In this, the fields Location Type, Production Unit, Project, Period and Crop are used as filters during the display of available locations for selection. It is worth mentioning that for Service Orders of Type Planting, the Plot Status (Reserved for Crop) is also used as a filter when displaying the available locations for selection;
- Location Type: mandatory field. Retrieves the values Agricultural, Others and Water Resources, and aims to direct to which type of location the services as a whole will be performed;
- Click on Save ;
- After filling in the mandatory fields, when saving the page, the tabs Basic Information, Locations, Operation, Resources, Application Information and Observation will be enabled.
- After saving the page for the first time, all information referring to the Service Order header is allocated in the Basic Information tab.
Fill in Basic Information tab
- The fields Location Type , Production Unit, Project, Period,Service Order Type and Crop are locked for editing;
- The fields Opening, Start Forecast, End Forecast, S.O. Responsible,Team, Planting Type, Variety and Spacing remain available for editing;
- In addition, some additional buttons are available, which play distinct roles and have considerable impact on the Service Order:
- Cancel Service Order:will be used when there is a need to discontinue the Service Order. After cancellation, the Service Order will be completely locked for editing, remaining in the system only for history and verification purposes. This cancellation maneuver will be allowed only when the Service Order does not have any type of link or transaction, such as Work Logs, Mechanization Reports, Weighings, Labor Work Logs or Integrations;
- Service Order Release:will be used when the creation of the Service Order is completely finished. From this moment on, work logs will be performed, that is, the logs of everything that was actually performed/consumed by the Service Order;
- Close Service Order : will be used when the work logs of the Service Order are completely finished. From this moment on, the Service Order will be officially closed, maintaining a history of everything that was planned (S.O. opening) and everything that was executed (S.O. work logs);
- History : will be used to perform a query of the information that was included, edited or deleted in the Service Order. Thus, this performs a function of displaying change information.
- Click on Save to register the registration.
Fill in Locations tab
- After saving the page for the first time, all information regarding the Service Order areas that will be directed to Planting are allocated in the Locations tab.
- From this moment on, it is possible to perform maintenance on the data that was previously selected. For the Plots already available in the tab, the user can edit the total area intended for Planting (1) or completely remove the Plot from the Service Order (2). Along with this basic maintenance, the tab provides some buttons for manipulating locations:
- Map : displays a property map, highlighting all Plots previously selected for this Service Order;
- Delete Locations : allows batch removal of Plots from the Service Order. This button is a facilitator for when the Service Order has many selected locations;
- Change Percentage : allows batch editing of the Plot area in the Service Order. This button is a facilitator for when the Service Order has many selected locations;
- Add Locations : allows adding more locations to the Service Order.
Fill in Operation tab
The Operation tab retrieves all operations registered in Árvore de Processo (ADM0043) .
- The user must navigate through the available tree and select all operations (main and support) that will be performed in this Service Order, considering the initial context (Planting).
- Click on Save to record the registration.
Fill in resources tab
The Resources tab is intended for selecting products and/or services that will be consumed by the Service Order. At this moment, for each Service Order operation, the user has the possibility to include the resources that will be consumed by the respective operation.
- In order to be able to include resources in the Service Order, the operation must necessarily be parameterized to allow such action. This parameterization is performed on the Operação (ADM0041) registration page, from the Agricultural inputs Application selection field;
- A Planting Type Service Order does not justify the inclusion and consumption of resources, however, there is no blockage on the use of this tab. The validation performed is on the operation selected in the S.O;
- The fields made available when including a resource vary according to the classification of the respective resource (product or service).
- Select Product : mandatory filling. This option aims to classify the resource that will be consumed as a product. Once selected, the entire tab layout will be changed to accommodate the inclusion of a product;
- Item : mandatory filling. Retrieves Item (ADM0034) registrations. In this field, only records classified as Product and parameterized for Agricultural inputs Application are retrieved, as exemplified in the image on the side;
- Dose : mandatory filling. When selecting this option, the Dose field will be enabled for editing and the Quantity field will be calculated (blocked for editing). This field aims to show the dose for application of the respective product;
- Quantity : mandatory filling. When selecting this option, the Quantity field will be enabled for editing and the Dose field will be calculated (blocked for editing). This field aims to show the total quantity of the product that will be consumed in the Service Order;
- Dose per Tank ;
- Select Service : mandatory filling. This option aims to classify the resource that will be consumed as a service. Once selected, the entire tab layout will be changed to accommodate the inclusion of a service;
- Item : mandatory filling. Retrieves Item (ADM0034) registrations. In this field, only records classified as Service and parameterized for Agricultural inputs Application are retrieved;
- Supplier : mandatory filling. Retrieves Cliente/Fornecedor (ADM0007) registrations;
- Quantity :mandatory filling. This field aims to show the total quantity of the service that will be consumed in the Service Order;
- Dose per Tank ;
Check Application Information
The tab is presented according to the value of parameter WOApplicationInformation | Esconder aba Informações de Aplicação na tela Ordem de Serviço (ADM0088), when this is disabled, the respective tab is presented in the creation of Service Orders.When presented on the screen, filling in this tab and its fields in the respective SO is optional.
This tab has an informative purpose, presenting some fields that can later be retrieved in the Service Order report, delivered to field employees to perform the respective Operations and uses of Resources.
The fields refer to the procedures that must be adopted during the execution of Operations in the field, for example, being able to inform from the equipment that must perform the process to the flow rates to be used in product applications.
Fill in Observation tab
The Observation tab is intended for including relevant information about the Service Order. In this tab, a free-filling field is made available for the user to describe any type of incident, detail or observation related to the Service Order that was opened. There are no validations directed to the Service Order Observation tab, this plays a purely informative role.
Configure Parameters
- WOApplicationInformation | Hide Application Information Tab (located on page ADM0088 - Parâmetros): this parameter controls the display of the Application Information tab when creating a Service Order on page AGR0090. When the parameter is checked, the tab is hidden from the page.
- WorkOrderObservation | Service Order Observation (located on page ADM0088 - Parâmetros): this parameter controls the display of the Observation tab during the creation/work log of a Service Order on page AGR0090. When the parameter is checked, the tab will be displayed.
- ValidateOpeningDateOutOfProjectPeriod | Validate if Opening Date is Outside Project Period (located on page ADM0088 - Parâmetros: when enabling this parameter, it will not be allowed to open the Service Order when the Opening Date of the S.O. is not within the informed Project.
- BlockWOOpeningBasedOnPlantingStatus : when this parameter is active, it will not be possible to open Pre-Planting Preparation service orders after planting starts. With the parameter deactivated, the system allows opening these orders at any stage of cultivation, regardless of the crop status.
Log Work Service Order
After completing the entire opening procedure of the Planting Type Service Order, it will be possible to start work logs on the respective S.O.
- Access the menu Agricultural > Service Order > Service Order Graphic Panel AGR0090;
- Click on Service Order Entry available during the editing of an S.O. or on the main grid of page AGR0090;
- Proceeding, during work logs on the Planting Type Service Order, the crop Status of the location informed in the S.O. will change:
- After executing the first work log, the crop status will be changed to In Planting;
- After completing the work log, the crop status will be changed to Crop Growing;
- Finally, when starting the Service Order work log procedure, the tabs Basic Information, Locations, Operation, Planting and Climatic Data During Application will be used.
Fill in Basic Information tab
In the Basic Information tab, during a Service Order work log, the fields Location Type, Code , Service Order , Opening, Status, Production Unit, Project, Harvest,Service Order Type, Employee and Crop remain locked for editing due to information integrity issues, that is, integrity between what was planned (Service Order opening) and what was executed (Service Order work log).
- For filling in, the following fields are highlighted:
- Execution Date : mandatory filling. This field aims to identify when the activity logged in the Service Order was executed;
- Team: : mandatory filling. Retrieves the Equipe (ADM0048) registrations. This field aims to identify, for the respective Service Order, which team was responsible for the activities executed;
- Finish Work Log : this button is used after filling in all mandatory tabs of the Service Order. After pressed, the S.O. work log will be closed;
- Save and Finish Work Log: : this button is used after filling in all mandatory tabs of the Service Order. After pressed, the S.O. will be saved and the S.O. work log will be closed.
Fill in Locations tab
In the Locations tab, during a Service Order work log, all locations previously associated with the respective S.O. are retrieved. At this moment, it is possible to remove or edit the area of selected locations when there is a need to execute a partial work log on the Service Order.
Fill in Operation tab
In the Operation tab, during a Service Order work log, all operations previously associated with the respective S.O. are retrieved. At this moment, it is possible to remove selected operations when there is a need to execute a partial work log on the Service Order.
Fill in Climatic Data for Application tab
- Click on Add ;
- For filling in, the following fields are highlighted:
- Planting Data :
- Location : mandatory filling;
- Start Date : mandatory filling;
- End Date : mandatory filling;
- Wind Speed : mandatory filling;
- Wind Measurement Unit : mandatory filling;
- Wind Direction : mandatory filling;
- Temperature : mandatory filling;
- Temperature Measurement Unit: mandatory filling;
- Linear Planting (Meter);
- Planting Completed ;
- Planting Data :
- Click on Save to register the registration.
Configure Parameters
- ValidateFieldsWorkOrder | Applies Information Integrity in the Org. Units Tab Regarding Planned vs. Performed (located on page ADM0088 - Parâmetros): when enabling this parameter, consistency will occur between the planned (opening of the Service Order) and the performed (work log of the Service Order). Therefore, it will not be possible to log work for org. units that were not previously selected during the opening of the Service Order.
- ValidateOperationWorkOrder | Applies Information Integrity in the Operations Tab Regarding Planned vs. Performed (located on page ADM0088 - Parâmetros): when enabling this parameter, consistency will occur between the planned (opening of the Service Order) and the performed (work log of the Service Order). Therefore, it will not be possible to log work for operations that were not previously selected during the opening of the Service Order.
- ValidateOperationItemWorkOrder | Applies Information Integrity in the Resources Tab Regarding Planned vs. Performed (located on page ADM0088 - Parâmetros): when enabling this parameter, consistency will occur between the planned (opening of the Service Order) and the performed (work log of the Service Order). Therefore, it will not be possible to log work for agricultural inputs/services that were not previously selected during the opening of the Service Order.
- HarvestWorkOrderApproval| Enable Approval Sequence for Service Orders (located on page ADM0088 - Parâmetros): when enabling this parameter, it will be possible to include a Service Order in the Approval Sequence flow. In this flow, the opening of Service Orders can be controlled (require approval for an S.O. to actually be opened) and/or the shortage of products in Service Orders of Type Harvest can be controlled.
- WOApprovalOnlyWithFilledResourcesTab | Enable Approval Sequence Only for S.O.’s with the Resources Tab Filled (located on page ADM0088 - Parâmetros): this parameter is directed to the control over opening of Service Orders (require approval for an S.O. to actually be opened). When enabling this parameter, approval will only be required for Service Orders that consume agricultural inputs (Resources tab filled).
- WOAutoFillPlantArea | Fill planting area automatically (located on page ADM0088 - Parâmetros): when enabling this parameter, when filling the Planting tab of the Service Order (work log), the Area (Hectares) field will be filled automatically based on the selected org. unit.
- ValidateExecutionDateOutOfHarvestPeriod | Validate if the Execution Date of the Work Log is Outside the Harvest Period (located on page ADM0088 - Parâmetros): when enabling this parameter, it will not be allowed to perform the work log of the Service Order when the Execution Date of the work log is not within the Harvest informed.
