AGR0640 - Water Resources Registration

The water resources registration is structured in a tree, and its level of detail is optional, depending on the user’s interest in representing and monitoring the geomorphological structures used in irrigation. Water resources are classified using five types, system enumerators:

  1. Hydrographic Basin - water resources grouper;
  2. Watercourse - river, stream, brook and creek;
  3. Water Body - lake, lagoon, dam, reservoir and settling tank;
  4. Well - artesian, semi-artesian and cistern;
  5. Residual Water - vinasse and wastewater tanks;

The registration begins with the bacia hidrográfica, which groups the resources present in its drainage area. Within the basin, water resources are registered from the mouth, starting with the watercourse that gives the basin its name and with the resources that are not connected to watercourses. The other resources are registered from downstream to upstream, according to the scheme below:

Below is the Poxim river basin, a level 5 ottobasin, according to classificação de Otto Pfafstetter, highlighting some of the geomorphological structures: (i) ridge, watershed that delimits the drainage area of the hydrographic basin; (ii) watercourse, represented by Riacho Limão; (iii) water body, represented by Lagoa do Tabuleiro.

What can you do?

Register Water Resources Tree
Add Hydrographic Basin
  1. Access the menu Agricultural > Irrigation > Water Resources Tree (AGR0640);
  2. Add a basin, through the + button;
  3. After adding hydrographic basin, the Basic Information tab will open automatically;
  4. To perform the registration, you will need to fill in the following fields:
    • Code ;
    • Abbreviation ;
    • Description ;
    • Active selection field: comes selected by default. Uncheck it to disable this resource in the system;
  5. Order: used to control the display order of the resource within its “Level”;
  6. Fields filled in automatically:
    • Level :corresponds to the depth of the resource in the tree, “0” for the first registered level;
    • Type of Water Resource : at level “0” it is always equal to the enumerator “Hydrographic Basin”;
  7. Save ;
  • Add Water Resources:
  1. Add the water resources of the basin, from downstream to upstream, through the + button after the resource that succeeds it.
  2. Repeat filling in the informações básicas tab;
  3. Select the Type of Water Resource , available for editing when level > 0 .
  4. If the resource has a grant:
    • Check the Grant field;
    • Inform the average granted flow;
    • Select a unit of measure for the flow;
  5. Repeat the item acima until all water resources of the hydrographic basin are registered. (This process must be done until all basins are registered).
  6. Save ;
Associate with Production Unit
  1. After registering the water resources, we can associate them with production units, so that they can be used in irrigation operations:
  2. Select a tree resource;
  3. Navigate to the “Production Unit” tab;
  4. Click the Add button;
  5. Select the Production Unit;
  6. Repeat the process if the resource is available for more than one Production Unit;
