AGR0015 - Agricultural Year
The agricultural year is the period that encompasses all stages of a crop’s production cycle, from soil preparation to harvest and marketing. It is defined based on climatic conditions and crop cycles, which distinguishes it from the calendar year. Normally, its delimitation considers the cycle of the crop with the greatest economic relevance for the rural producer or the company. This concept is fundamental for agricultural planning, as it guides producers and technicians in the preparation of planting and management calendars, contributing to production optimization and the reduction of climatic risks.
The Agricultural Year (AGR0015) registration is of a temporal nature and aims to exemplify the “When”, that is, at what moment a certain activity will be carried out. Conceptually, the agricultural year is considered a continuous period of 12 months.
What can you do?
- Access the menu Agricultural > Time Structure > Agricultural Year (AGR0015);
- Click on Add ;
- To register the agricultural year, you need to fill in the fields:
- Description: mandatory fill. Represents the description of the registered agricultural year;
- Start Date: mandatory fill. Represents the beginning of the agricultural year within the system;
- End Date: mandatory fill. Represents the end of the agricultural year within the system;
- Production Units: Represents for which Unidades Produtoras (ADM0012) the agricultural year will be in effect;
- Click on the Save button to register the registration.
