CST0251 - Accounting Segments
The purpose of this screen is to structure and register the cost object, which will be used by ERP systems. This object can, for example, be a production order and is formed by the combination of accounting segments, which represent the parts that compose it.
Accounting segments correspond to elements such as location, cost center or other dimensions that will serve as reference for ERPs. Its function is to allow systems to understand how direct and indirect cost consumption occurs, based on information generated by the GAtec module.

How to register accounting segments
- To register accounting segments, access the menu Controllership > Accounting Support > Accounting Segments (CST0251).
- Start the registration by clicking the Add button, located in the lower corner of the screen, and fill in the following header fields:
- Code;
- Abbreviation;
- Description;
- Status:
- Active;
- Inactive;
- Type:
- Common: these are current segments that originate at the time of implementation. This field is standard, and the entry of values occurs in the segment values registration;
- Additional: the additional type allows defining segment values based on expressions or formulas, instead of fixed values;
- When selecting the additional type, the system automatically opens an expression and formulas field. The expression defines the formula that will be applied to calculate or obtain the segment value.
- To finalize the registration, click the Save button.
