AGR0124 - Daily Tabular Evapotranspiration
In general, evapotranspiration is defined as the sum of water evaporation from the soil and plant transpiration, that is, it represents the water loss from the soil-plant-atmosphere system.
This information is extremely relevant in the agricultural context, as it allows for precise irrigation planning, ensuring that plants receive the ideal amount of water. This results in resource savings, such as water and energy, in addition to preventing water stress in crops and favoring their development. Furthermore, this data supports more strategic agronomic decisions, such as the ideal time to irrigate, plant, or choose the most suitable crop and cultivar for local climatic conditions.
