AGR0038 - Maturation Cycle
The maturation cycle of crops is the process by which plants reach the maturity phase (from planting to harvest time), it is crucial to determine the right moment to harvest or consume crops, considering botanical, physiological and economic factors. Here are examples of these factors:
- Sugarcane: sugarcane maturation involves several aspects:
Sugarcane is considered mature after the emission of flowers and seed formation.
The stalk reaches its maximum sugar storage (sucrose).
When sugarcane reaches the minimum sucrose content necessary for industrial viability.
- Soybean: Soybean cultivars are classified into maturity groups, indicating the cycle duration. These groups range from early to late.
What can you do?
Generally in this registration we have the following maturation cycles: early, medium and late.
- Access the menu Agricultural > Crops > Maturation Cycle (AGR0038);
- To start the maturation cycle registration click on Add and fill in the following fields:
- Description;
- Abbreviation;
- Inform if it is Active;
- To finish the registration, click on the Save button.
Important
On the cadastro de variedade (AGR0039) screen the registered maturation cycles are available for the parameterization of the number of days, per production unit, or for registering a standard. Here is the parameterization table of the variety registration screen (AGR0039):
